Engineered a high-throughput Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) engine in Java 23 & Spring Boot capable of parsing raw binary PCAP capture files down to Layer 2–4 protocol headers (Ethernet II, IPv4, TCP, UDP).
Implemented zero-copy binary payload inspection to extract TLS Client Hello Server Name Indication (SNI) and HTTP Host headers, enabling encrypted traffic classification across 14+ application profiles (YouTube, GitHub, Netflix, etc.) without decryption.
Architected a 5-Tuple flow tracking engine (Src IP, Dst IP, Src Port, Dst Port, Protocol) that aggregates stream telemetry, dynamic bandwidth metrics, and per-flow packet counts in real time.
Built a dynamic rule enforcement engine for IP, application-type, and domain substring filtering, enabling packet drop policies and generating sanitized, filtered PCAP export files with full REST API and Web UI support.
